Pet Vaccinations

Please don’t forget vaccinations! They are an important part of animal care and will protect your pet from contagious, deadly viruses such as parvo and panleukopenia. There are great prices at many of these above clinics at the time of surgery. They are also available at these walk-in low cost vaccine clinics. Get rid of fleas, worms, and ear mites too for a happier pet. Call for prices and dates.

FACTS ABOUT SPAY/NEUTER

Did you know that female kittens can become pregnant as early as 5 months?

ABOUT DECLAWING AND WHY YOU SHOULDN'T

http://www.declawing.com/

GOT FLEAS?
The least expensive option is Borax from the laundry detergent aisle at the grocery store. Simply sprinkle it on your carpet and pet bedding and brush in with a broom. You may not see results for 3 weeks, but then the fleas cycle will end for up to a year. Reapply as necessary.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/boric_acid
The best choice since it's granular and falls down into the carpet easier:

BEHAVIOR PROBLEMS? CATS ON THE COUNTER?

Multivet's new patented SSSCAT TM device is a positive method to controlling your cat's territory and behavioral problems. This is a great invention!

LOST OR FOUND A PET?
Post a free ad online at http://www.craigslist.org, community/pets section and lost and found.
Post a free ad online at http://www.zidaho.com pets section

Post an ad on any of the Facebook groups for lost pets.
Go to Idaho Humane Society ASAP (4775 Dorman St. Boise) or to your nearest shelter and file a lost or found report. If no one claims your pet within a short period of time, it will be put up for adoption or euthanized. If your pet has a microchip, you stand a better chance of getting him/her back if taken to the shelter. A collar with ID tag is also important.
Put up posters in your neighborhood.
If you have neighbors who don't like pets, it's possible that they have trapped your pet and dumped them elsewhere. Make sure you know your neighbors! Catios or a perimeter fence is a great option. Contact cats@boiseid.net for more info.
Idaho has many predator animals (owls, coyotes, fox, etc.) that can attack your pet, especially at night. Consider bringing outdoor pets into the house, garage, or outbuilding at a certain time each evening. Hawks will take kittens and small cats during daylight hours!
